The first of its kind in the market, Laurel partnered with a local development team to invest in their ground-up vision for a multi-family development project to deploy modular construction technology which exceeded four stories. A creative method for the constraints of a postage stamp development site, the construction proved to be extremely efficient on materials (contributing to the achievement of LEED Certification) and timely on unit delivery. The product quality is overall superior to competitive wood frame construction-type units. Insulative properties for sound transmission and air infiltration are double that of similar products. This project has proven to be a tenant-friendly environment, enjoying a stable resident-retention rate with numerous tenants still in place since initial lease up activities in 2017.
